How to pay

Once the funeral arrangements have been completed, we’ll issue you with a full written estimate itemising our costs and the things we’ll be paying on your behalf such as crematorium and newspaper fees. For the items that we pay on your behalf, we will ask you to pay this money before the funeral, we will usually give two working days for you to pay this.  We’ll issue an invoice after the funeral for the remaining balance, and payment is due within 30 days. Payments by cash, cheque, debit or credit card and bank transfer are all accepted. Alternatively you can pay online here. Unfortunately we are unable to accept payment with an American Express Card.

If paying for the funeral may be a problem please just let us know at the time of making the arrangements and we’ll take you through the various options available.

Help with the cost

Anyone in the United Kingdom can get help with the cost of a simple funeral if they do not have enough money to pay the full cost. To qualify you must be receiving one of these benefits: income support, council tax benefit, disability working allowance, family credit, housing benefit, second adult rebate.

If you would like to talk to someone about funeral payments get in touch with your Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) or talk to someone at an advice centre like the Citizens Advice Bureau. They will advise you on the amount of financial help you can expect based on your own circumstances.
